Bega Valley Business (BVB) and Sapphire FM Community Radio are pleased to announce a new partnership that will see BVB become the official partner of the popular community radio program Business Matters, broadcast live every Monday at 10am.
Hosted by Colin Dunn and Jacqui Smith, Business Matters has become a familiar voice for local business in Merimbula. Now, with the involvement of Bega Valley Business, the show is set to expand its reach to cover a broader range of stories, insights, and topics from across the entire Bega Valley Shire and beyond.
BVB President Nigel Ayling will join the program as a regular guest. Ayling brings over 30 years of experience in small business, along with his leadership roles as President of Bega Valley Business and past President of Our Merimbula. Ayling was instrumental in establishing the original relationship between Our Merimbula and Sapphire FM, and says he’s excited about the opportunity to broaden the program’s scope. “Business Matters has done a great job highlighting Merimbula businesses, but there are so many great stories and innovative operators throughout the Shire. This partnership will help shine a light on them,” said Ayling.
Listeners can expect a refreshed and dynamic format, with a mix of interviews with local business owners sharing their challenges and successes, and topical discussions on broader issues like interest rates, elections, workforce trends, and financial advice.

Business Matters is broadcast live every Monday at 10am on Sapphire FM, 97.5FM, or can be streamed online at www.sapphirefm.au. Plans are also underway to make the show available for replay through the website and podcast platforms, with full transcripts published for those who prefer to read.
