Bega Valley Business held its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 13 November 2025 at the South Coast Tap House, celebrating a year of strong outcomes, growing influence, and renewed momentum for the region’s business community.
President Nigel Ayling reflected on a year of tangible results, including a highly successful Bega Valley Business Expo, another standout Business Awards program, and a unified public advocacy campaign representing local business interests in response to proposed council fees for the use of public land. These achievements reinforce the Forum’s role as a credible, independent voice for business across the Bega Valley.
A key highlight from the AGM was a membership reform allowing Affiliate Members to join the Committee, opening the door to broader representation and fresh ideas from across industries, towns, and business sizes.
The Treasurer’s Report and President’s Report were both adopted, confirming the Forum’s strong governance and positive financial position.
With nominations called from the floor, the following committee was elected to guide the Forum into the next year:
- President: Nigel Ayling
- Vice President: Janet Doolin
- Secretary & Public Officer: Wendy Pursehouse
- Treasurer: Owen Simpson
- Committee Members: Dini Redwin and Eric Wolske
One committee position remains a casual vacancy, providing an excellent opportunity for members who want to play a more active role in shaping the future of business in the Bega Valley.

The meeting closed at 6.45pm, with the next committee meeting scheduled for Wednesday 11 February 2026. Regular committee meetings continue on the second Wednesday of each month.
